Fun with American Jane

Last week I started a new little project. I pulled out my pile of American Jane fabric and my Recess charm pack. Last winter I fell in love with this quilt and have always wanted to make something similar. This was originally for a gift, but that gift may be replaced with something else, because I’m not sure I can let this one go.
So here it is so far. I am in love. I think this is one of my recent favorites. Still needs some borders and quilting and binding. But we’ll get there.

I threw in a few non-American-Jane blocks, including this cute little Alexander Henry fireman.
And a few robots and rocket ships. They just fit.

I have some serious American Jane Recess envy going on here. I could just kick myself for not picking up that fabric when it was widely available!

p.s. I wouldn’t be able to part with that either.

I love how the colors blend! Don’t give this one up… you’ll be sorry. Unless you have enough to make two of them, how could you get tired of working with those fabrics!
