Thank you Sew Mama, and thank YOU!

This fun little pile of fabric came from Sew Mama's shop just recently and it was all on sale!

Wow. That was fun! What a weekend, thanks to Sew Mama Sew. I will admit I didn't get to visit every giveaway I would have liked and I am still checking out posted links. So please be patient with me. I've never had my inbox so inundated! Thanks so much to those of you who shared. I found some really fun stuff through those links.

I will also try to answer some of the questions too. The main question I can answer here is that no, there is no pattern for that Arcadia quilt. It was my first real attempt at improve sewing. Working with the Moda pre-cuts made it really quick. Basically I can tell you this - it's a big strip quilt. I would sew sets of strips together and at random places, rotary-cut across those strip sets and insert a big layer cake square. All very random. It was a really fun, liberating excercise!

Okay, so now the moment you've all been waiting for. . . (and I'm sorry the wait was so long. First day of summer break here and both the computer and I have more people vying for our attention.)

Thank you so much for your comments - they make my day! I try to respond to as many as my 'mommy' time allows, but life sometimes gets in the way. Please know how much I appreciate each of them.

I apologize for the current comment settings that require a registered user account. They are the only way that I don't get tons of gross spam. I'm hoping Blogger will make a way where people who are not registered users, but would like to leave a comment can do so. Please, Blogger! In the mean time, thanks for your patience.

I also love to respond to questions. If you are a no-reply blogger, please leave an email address so I can get back to you. Or you can email me directly: amy @ diaryofaquilter.com. Thanks!
