Thank you so much for your comments - they make my day! I try to respond to as many as my 'mommy' time allows, but life sometimes gets in the way. Please know how much I appreciate each of them.
I apologize for the current comment settings that require a registered user account. They are the only way that I don't get tons of gross spam. I'm hoping Blogger will make a way where people who are not registered users, but would like to leave a comment can do so. Please, Blogger! In the mean time, thanks for your patience.
I also love to respond to questions. If you are a no-reply blogger, please leave an email address so I can get back to you. Or you can email me directly: amy @ diaryofaquilter.com. Thanks!

Yeh for your Mom! I love the red white and blues and the quilt has held up nicely.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth!
Isn't it wonderful to associate some childhood memories to a quilt? Anything from mom is a treasure!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Nice to have something from your childhood and all the memories associated with it.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. What a treasure with all the wonderful memories. Makes the holiday extra special.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beautiful quilt! It reminds me of my first quilt that I made in about 1973 for my mom. It was pink and lavendar ginghams and tied with little white yarn. We've come a long way but I love the sentimental quilts like yours. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt with lots of memories!
ReplyDeleteHave a great 4th and make lots more memories!
what a great story... i love quilts that have a history!
ReplyDeleteSo heartwarming to see this post about the quilt your mom made. My first quilt that my mom made me in the early 70's was red white and blue sunflower Sue. I will be posting about it soon on my blog as I also happen to have the left over backing fabric she used and thought I would do a post on it and show the quilt as well. My mom still loves to quilt. So many memories around quilts thank you so much for sharing yours. :)
