Home Again

Back from a family trip to Maine. It's been a great week.

Heavenly. Great to be with family. Good to get away, out of the heat, and disconnect from the phone and the internet (as much as possible) and eat some 'lobstah'. We spent some great time with my husband's extended family who live in Maine and New Hampshire.  Surrounded by scenery so unlike here in Utah. (And humidity). It was sad to leave.

(I didn't mention the details before because I don't really like to publicly announce that we're gone and my fabric stash and cherry tomato plants are left alone and defenseless.)
And now we're home and down to one week left of summer vacation before school starts!!  I have lots to share and catch up on here, but we may be having our last summer hurrahs this week. Hope you're having some fun summer hurrahs yourself. Enjoy a Dove bar for me.

  12. Love Lobster. I usually have it every day when I get to Maine. If you didn't know about them or get there this time, you've got to try Warren's Lobster House in Portsmouth. It is terrific. All the locals go there. Glad you had a grand time. But there is always a time that you have to get back to reality.

Thank you so much for your comments - they make my day! I try to respond to as many as my 'mommy' time allows, but life sometimes gets in the way. Please know how much I appreciate each of them.

I apologize for the current comment settings that require a registered user account. They are the only way that I don't get tons of gross spam. I also love to respond to questions. If you are a no-reply blogger, please leave an email address so I can get back to you. Or you can email me directly: amy @ diaryofaquilter.com. Thanks!
