My newest project. Suddenly this week I felt the urge to play with stars and Riley Blake’s new Seaside fabric collection is calling my name.
I love so many individual prints in this line, but I especially love the look they create combined as a whole. I’m a sucker for primary colors and this collection makes them look like they come from a beachy-cottagey summer home.
Reminds me of our trip to Maine last year and my orange peel project I was working on back then. (I really should pull that out and finish it…) I hope I can spend part of the day creating more stars. You can find Seaside fabrics here, here, here and here.
As a part of the article, there was a list of 25 inspirational & educational blogs. I was humbled (and totally thrilled!) to be a part of that list. There are some great resources there. Thank you, Cindy!
Happy 4th to those in the states. We kicked off our holiday celebration yesterday with a hike up “Y Mountain” in Provo, Utah. It was a gorgeous day for a hike with a balloon festival in the distance. Sadly, the day ended with another local mountain catching fire in a nearby town, Alpine. We’re in no danger, but we could see the flames climbing the mountain, and it was crazy scary. We’ve had no rain in Utah for the past month and after a really mild winter everything is tinder-dry. We’re wishing we could siphon off some of the crazy storms in the north-west, east coast and the UK. So we’re saying extra prayers of gratitude for the fire crews who’ve had no respite for weeks and for the safety of those in harms way. Stay safe!
