Pretty fabric from Fort Worth Fabric Studio

Fort Worth Fabric Studio
It’s been a crazy week behind the scenes around here, with lots in the works, but none to share yet. So I’m glad there is something fun to share, thanks to Fort Worth Fabric Studios. FWFS is an online-only fabric store out of Texas, owned and operated by Jodie Heinold. She has a fabulous selection of fabric collections from many of the major fabric manufacturers including Riley Blake, Moda, Michael Miller, Andover, and Robert Kaufman. I love how easy it is to see the available fabric collections on the FWFS site. Be sure to check out the sale sections too!
Jodie specializes in putting together wonderful bundles. If you like to mix prints from different fabric collections, but lack confidence in doing it yourself, I would highly recommend checking out Jodie’s bundles. You can find them organized by color palette or theme. The above collection is called Tangerine and Turquoise.
One of Jodie’s most popular bundles is the Ta Dot Fat Quarter bundle, containing a FQ of each of the 37 prints in Michael Miller’s Ta Dot collection. Or if you’re looking for a few pieces, you can order yardage from any of the colorways in the Ta Dot collection
Not to mention a full selection of Michael Miller’s Cotton Couture solids. I LOVE Cotton Coutures. They’re like sewing with silk.
Today Jodie would like to give one of you readers her latest fat quarter bundle, called Dock of the Bay. Doesn’t it just make you feel relaxed looking at all those soothing blues? Love the combination. I need a little it of those calming vibes in my life at this moment. And it’s a $40 value!
To enter take a trip to Fort Worth Fabric Studios and then leave a comment here telling me your favorite bundle or collection in stock.Giveaway open until Saturday, May 11, midnight MST. I’ll randomly select a winner. Be sure there is a way for me to contact you if you win! GIVEAWAY CLOSED

They are all so wonderful, but Pencil Smudge would really make a great addition to my stash. I love to mix gray into any project. Thanks for the chance to win.

  2. says

All the bundles are gorgeous, but if I had to pick just one, Lagoon jumps out to me. Thank you so much for the chance at the beautiful bundle.

Love the giveaway bundle! At the FWFS site I saw lots of gorgeous things like the Breezy Tropics bundle and two fabric collections I'm currently drooling over — Grey Matters and Hipster.

  5. says

I've just received an order from Fort Worth and they were quick and lovely. Even including a little gift which always feels nice. I had been looking at their bundles a lot but that tangerine and turquoise bundle was great. I think there will be a quilt in that sooner or later

  6. says

I like Pencil Smudge, but it might be because I love stationery and grey! Dock of the Bay is lovely too though and reading this has ensured I will have Otis Reading in my head all day now. This can only be a good thing.

  7. says

turquoise tumbler has my name written all over it, I am going back to dive right in and place an order. WOO HOO, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

  8. says

Love the idea of bundles…less stressful :) I really liked the Breezy Tropics bundle. Dock of the Bay would make a sweet baby boy quilt!

  9. says

Some wonderful bundles over there. I fell in love with the Breezy Tropics bundle. Love the grey mixed with the turquoise and white.

  10. says

I really like the "It's A Boy Thing". I have a new grandson expected in August and I need to get busy on a quilt. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  11. says

Thanks for the heads-up on the shop. It's a new one for me. She does have lovely bundles – loving the Bed Refreshment!

  12. says

I LOVE FWFS! Although I do live within a few miles of Jodie and often swing by to pick up my parcels. Raspberry Mixer is the bundle I have been eyeing lately!

  13. says

I love Fort Worth Fabrics (you always get a treat in your order!) I love the title "Pencil Smudge" – but my favorite colors are from the Dock of the Bay bundle.

  14. says

oh wow, I havent seen this store before! I love so many of the bundles..with tangerine and turquoise, lagoon and pencil smudge top of the list! (actually..all three would be fabulous together..)

  15. says

  16. says

Thanks to you and Fort Worth Fabric Studio for the giveaway! I love Pencil Smudge; those grays are great to have in a stash. wonderlandbyalyce at gmail dot com

  17. says

I do love the Dock of the Bay bundle. I also am smitten with the gingham one. And lots of others :) Thanks for the opportunity!
18. says

I think the bikes in the "Cruzin" line are adorable, so I would choose that as my favorite, for the moment, anyway!

  19. says

Why haven't I heard of them before. You are right, their bundles are ingenious and take much of the stress out of choosing what goes with what! My favorite is The Lemon Pepper Remix. How much do I love that name……so creative and the bundle is perfection!

  20. says

It's A Boy Thing caught my eye because my daughter is using elephants for her nursery decor. I also liked Water Lily. Love Dock of the Bay, too. Thanks!

  21. says

I really like the tangerine and turquoise bundle because I have been trying to put together fabrics in similar colors to make a quilt for our master bedroom, but I am having a hard time committing.

  22. says

  23. says

I like them all, she has beautiful fabric lines. I guess I love the Ta Dot and Indigo Crossing a lot, but it was crazy hard to choose.

24. says

Before I even knew that this bundle was being given away I said to myself "OOO, I love those fabrics. I need to get them!" So I hope I win. I love them. They are very pretty!

  25. says

I like the aqua and red bundle, but that tangerine and turqouise is pretty much to die for too! What a great little fabric shop.
26. says

my favorite color is orange so the orange crush fizz is right down my alley. The grouping of pillowcase size cuts is a great idea – will watch for some low volume groupings.

  27. says

Hahaha! I went to her shop and looked at all the thumbnails of bundles and the one that jumped out at me was…..tangerine and turquoise!!:) I have been been loving orange/teal/brown combos lately and I'm always ALL about grey so that bundle is perfection!:)

  28. says
My favorite bundle is Mezmerised by Color. Great selection of fabric. I've order from them before and their service is fantastic. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  29. says

  30. says

I love the "Pencil Smudge" bundle. It would be so easy to add some bright colours to it. Lot's of fun. Thanks for the chance at your give-a-way. :-)

  31. says

She has the most creative names for her specialty bundles! Love the name Pencil Smudge, but the bundle of fabrics that I like is called Mesmerized by Color!

  32. says

'Pencil Smudge' bundle hands down is cute … but none in inventory. "bed refreshment' is very nice fabrics but would be better in FQ bundle. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  33. says

I love Fort Worth Fabric Studio and have already made several purchases from them. It's always fun to see what their special Friday Bundle Batches consist of – and I especially love that you can get these selections as fat quarter or 1/2 yard bundles (often a fat quarter just isn't enough for me). Right now, my favorite bundle that they are offering is "Beyond the Gate".

  34. says

OMG. Dock of the Bay – so sad I didn't find this a few weeks ago (just starting a baby boy quilt – this would have been perfect). We're all baby-making age though, I'll have to scoop this if I don't win – there are more quilts in my future.

I'm also loving the Fruit Punch Sizzle bundle – such a great mix for little girls!

I'll definitely be back to

  35. says

  38. says

I completely love the Dock Of The Bay bundle. In a tight race for 2nd place are the Raspberry Mixer and the Bed Refreshment-Aqua Blue bundles. So in great news… I know where to send the family in search of Mother's Day ideas. :)

  39. says

Being a sock monkey nut, I am smitten with the Socky collection! But honestly, I love anything to do with pretty fabric! :)

  40. says

I like the navy and pink bundle — cute! But I'd take this one too, in a heartbeat. Need some of that Heath. Can I suggest that their thumbnails are a little small for my preference? I'm not super old, but I would definitely be more inclined to shop where I can see things a little better without having to click on each item. The pictures are nice, they're just a little small on

  41. says

It was hard to pick just one bundle, but I'd have to go with Sorbet – those pinks and oranges are gorgeous. Thank you for the chance to win!

  42. says

I love the Mini Tamed Ta Dot fat quarter bundle — what a cute combination for baby quilts and more. The site was not as easy to follow as I expected, but when I used your links, I was able to get to the bundles. Then I realized I could search for bundles — but that option was not available in the drop down. It might be more interactive if the drop down had a listing for the bundle collections

  43. says

  45. says

I lve the Dock of the Bay fabric!! I am also partial to the "Get a Clue Nancy Drew". What wonderful memories do those book titles bring back.

  46. says

What an incredible selection of fabrics and supplies they have at Fort Worth. It was fun looking through their website. Years ago, we didn't have collections with the many different coordinating fabrics that we do today. So, we mixed and matched and made our own. Today, there is such a trend to stay isolated within a collection. The bundles that Fort Worth have put together are proof

  47. says

Ohhh, this is tough- there are so many good ones! I really like Dock of the Bay and that Seaside Holiday is adorable!! Thanks!

  48. says

So many great bundles to choose from! I'm loving Dock of the Bay, but I also love It's a Boy Thing, Pencil Smudge, Aqua and Red, and Seaside Holdiay… and so many more!

  55. says

The Dock of the Bay is awesome, until I saw the Citron and Gray, and then Pencil Smudge, and so on and so on! I have decided I am really diggin' the gray and lemon (or other) color right now, what the heck, I love it all!!!!

  56. says

Though I love the Friday Bundle Batches, I got distracted by the Scuffy the Tugboat panels. I have no clue what I'd do with them, but Scuffy is a favorite in our house.
