$50 Gift Certificate Giveaway from Southern Fabrics

Profile Picture

Today we have an awesome giveaway from blog sponsor, Southern Fabrics. Southern Fabrics is an online fabric shop located in Georgia and happily shipping all over the world. They specialize in the latest from Free Spirit, Moda, Riley Blake (a great selection of the RB Chevrons) and Westminster (including some classic Amy Butler prints).

Some new arrivals at Southern Fabrics include Highstreet, Midwinter Reds precuts, Boo Crew precuts and yardage, and one of my recent favorites, Simply Style. So many good basics in that line.

Southern Fabrics also has some great collections on sale, with precuts and yardage still available such as Noteworthy, Cuzco, Lark, and Marmalade – a super popular collection that is getting pretty scarce.
To keep current on Southern Fabrics latest arrivals and sales, I highly suggest you follow them on Facebook, the Southern Fabrics blog, or twitter
Today Aubrey of Southern Fabrics is giving away a $50 gift certificate (holey moley) to one of you readers. Leave a comment telling me something you’d buy from Southern Fabrics with that moola. Giveaway open until Saturday, August 31 at midnight MST. GIVEAWAY CLOSED.

Winner: Cindy said…
I would order simply style! Thanks
Thank you to all of you for supporting these awesome sponsors. I’m very choosy about who I accept as sponsor’s of this blog. I know from personal experience that selling fabric is not always as glamorous as it sounds. It’s a lot of work for not a huge financial windfall and I’m so grateful to these independent businesses for supplying our fabric addictions needs. In turn, I am so grateful for the support of these sponsors so that I can justify the many hours spent sharing here. Huge thank you’s all around!

  1. says

Hard to choose with so many beautiful options – I'd go with High Street, Sunyside or S'more Love. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. says

What an awesome store! Thank you for putting them on my radar. I would grab the Simply Style fat eights bundle. Such a wonderful set of prints! I am loving the Dotty Mums.

  3. says

$50 can really go a long way. I'd be tempted to get some Summersville Spring, Bella Solids and some Happy Go Lucky. What a great giveaway and count me in!

  4. says

I am new to quilting, but I am already hooked. The first quilt I made was a crib size quilt made with owl print fabric from a fabric bundle. I haven't put the binding on yet but already bought the fabric for my next quilt, a cat themed, twin bed size quilt for my daughter.
I'd buy a jelly roll to try, some charm packs, I especially like Posh Pumpkins and Cherry on Top and I would

  5. says

Anything from Joel Dewberry would just be so lovely! Just bought my very first Overlock-Machine yesterday and can't wait to try out all those projects I have in mind :)

  6. says

There is just something about Cardinals, so I would purchase fabric from the winter's lane line. I would probably make a quilt for the cold Midwest nights coming up. lindsayrodems at gmail dot com

  7. says

I think the Winters Lane prints are lovely, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to resist buying a little bit of Simply Style also — especially the purple prints!

  8. says

That's a hard really hard. Certainly some kind of precut a JR or LC. Or I'll wait till they have Scrumptious yardage in store.
hildy(at)ebertzeder(dot)de

  9. says

SO many to choose from! I think the Marmalade half yard bundle by Bonnie and Camille. I could make a really neat quilt out of that bundly- love the color pop!

  10. says

I'm thinking a bundle of Boho would work well for my daughter's quilt. She's up next in my "to do" list.

  11. says

with $50 I would stock up on some basics, so many lines out have a few really great basics and I need to build up that part of my collection.

  12. says

I'm new to the quilting world and just discovered Camille Roskelly and her lines… I've been wanting to get some of the marmalade line for a bit but have been having a hard time finding it. (My resources are very small) thank you for introducing an online shop to me! Thanks for the chance to win!

  13. says

Sooo much to choose from probably some Cuzco to round out my stash of it. Maybe Happy Go Lucky. Keep seeing the cutest quilts out there think I'll have to try one. Thanks for the giveaway

  14. says

Too many to choose from: sewing for granddaughters (dresses and the like), quilts for Christmas, and throw pillows to brighten up the living room. One can never have too much fabric or projects to choose from. Thank you!

  15. says

I would buy yardage of Aviary 2 – Sparrows – Plum by Joel Dewberry and a new rotary blade. But it's certainly hard to choose from all the great prints!

  16. says

I would definetely buy Winter's Lane by Kate & Birdie Paper Co. I cfell in love with that line the moment I saw it. But then again that Cuzco…

  17. says

I would so buy the Simply Style. I love that line and have a few of them but I NEED more! Thanks for the great chance at this giveaway!

  18. says

wow, what a giveaway!! I could do a lot with that I am sure. Have some projects in my mind for Christmas presents, that would really be helpful with. Thank you!

  19. says

What an awesome giveaway, thans so much for the opportunity. I have some Simply Style charm packs and would love to buy some yardage to go along with it!

  20. says

I have been allergic to solids since I started quilting two years ago. I am working on this allergy and showed a pictures of an all solids quilt to our young man son. He liked it so I would buy solids or almost solids to make it for him. Thanks!

  21. says

OHHH my I would have to get some Scrumptious or Barcelona or Honeysweet…it is so hard to choose, but with $50 I know I would be in heaven!!! Thanks for hte chance

  23. says

There are too many great fabrics to choose from — but I'm sure I'd figure it out. I'd probably get a Cluck Cluck Sew pattern I've been wanting too.

  24. says

I LOVE the new Simply Style collection. I am still a huge fan of the Simply Color they had, too! So many fun things to choose from!
wornoutballetshoes@gmail.com

  25. says

My eye immediately caught the Love – Half Yard Bundle in Blue by Amy Butler. There were so many great selections, but I think I would have to go with the above choice for what I would buy with the gift certificate.

  26. says

Would I ever love to spend $50.00 for me on fabric. I can see chevrons, Road 15 and Bella solids. Am I ready to go shopping? Yes I am. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win such a fantastic giveaway from such a great sponsor.

Sandi Timmons
sandit1@sbcglobal.net

  27. says

Since I have never quilted anything in my life I thought I would try a jellyroll and Posh Pumpkins would be my choice. But then I would buy anything that caught my eye figuring if I can do a jellyroll I can do something a little more creative. So here is hoping I will win the drawing. And thank you for having it.

Diane
dianecally@aol.com

  28. says

Oh my! What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you Southern Fabrics!! First i would have to look through the patterns and find something perfect for my DGD, then I'd find some fun fabric to go with it. Thanks for the chance!

  29. says

Thanks for the lovely giveaway, it would clearly be a tough choice since they have so many great fabrics :-) Maybe some Cuzco or Fresh Cut…or, or, or 😉

  30. says

They have lots of pretty things at Southern Fabrics. S'more Love is on my list and Simply Style. They even have some prints from Simply Color. Might have to get some of those since I've been using up what I have. Thanks for the chance to win, fingers crossed!

  31. says

I like the line called 2wenty Thr3e–probably be looking at the layer cake? But there are so many wonderful things to see at Southern Fabrics that it would be difficult to narrow it down!

  32. says

Hard choice but I would get some V&Co Simply Color Ombre and some Sweetwater Noteworthy or Road 15! What a great selection Southern Fabric's has!

  33. says

I just finished making 2 batches of jam today so I think it's MARMALADE for me! I have a couple cuts from the line but not enough to do anything with (I thought it was gone from the shelves and have been kicking myself for not buying more). Glad to see there's still some left!!

  34. says

Today it would be Aviary Granite, now that might change tomorrow!!
Thanks for the giveaway, it is pretty awesome!
lisamcgriff (at) hotmail (dot) com

  35. says

I'd grab charm packs from the Marmalade while there are still some. And probably something else too, for whatever idea I might get in between. Gosh do I love imaginary shopping!

  36. says

Southern Fabric is an impressive shop – they have a great selection! It's no wonder you chose them as a sponsor. I would love to get my hands on some Notting Hill!!!

  37. says

I would probably get some fabrics from different lines so I can keep building my stash, which is basically non-existant.

(knittngirl@gmail.com)

  38. says

What a great selection! If I won the gift certificate, I would buy the half yard cuts bundle of Vintage Modern. I love that line! Joel Dewberry's line would be a close second.

  39. says

First of all thank you for the opportunity to win! Second, I just bookmarked your page and will be visiting frequently!! Now for the real question….I would probably finally give in and buy some of Moda's Oh, Deer! Collection. I have loved it since it came out but other projects have always kept me from indulging. That or I would buy some prints from Cuzco and make dresses for my girls. Love

  40. says

I think I would buy some Bella solids yardage. I have been wanting to try some quilting with a bunch of solids for some time. Thank you to you and Southern Fabric for the generous giveaway.

  41. says

I need the Noteworthy Fabric!!! I was in the middle of piecing a top with a couple of layer cakes of Noteworthy when my house flooded out and I had to move and that put a huge kink in everything. By the time I headed out to get yardage for the back, my store was sold out. Thank you so much for sharing this store with us!!!

  42. says

  44. says

Holey Moley! I would definitely buy some Moda fabric! I love there colorful and (new) vintage designs but there is no shop around here that sells Moda 😐

  45. says

Drat! Everytime I enter a Southern Fabric giveaway I have to go check them out and I end up buying something. And being very happy with it and them.
Simply Style – Dotty Mums is what is calling to me now.

  47. says

I have only just now looked briefly at Southern Fabrics, what an eye opener! I had never heard of them before and they have such a huge selection. I think I would spend the money on more Westminster Fabrics to complement my Kaffe Fassett collection and then get on with it and make that quilt!

  48. says

There are so many collections I would love to add to mine, but right now I think I'd probably do some mixing and matching for a dress I want to make my daughter. The kind with lots of strips and a really full skirt.

  49. says

Cuzco would be a great choice! The colors and patterns are amazing! I can already see a beautifully bright quilt and accessories with that great collection. Thank you for the giveaway!

  50. says

To make the dollars stretch further, I'd probably pick something from the sale section, maybe a Heather Bailey line or what's left of Lucy's Crab Shack. Thanks for the giveaway!

ooh how to choose, this would be a fun prize to win :). Joel Dewberry Aviary in lilac, anything Amy Butler, but if I had to narrow it down, love bliss. Thank you for the chance to win.
