So anyway, here is a fun, easy project we did afterward. I’d done this about 6 years ago when my daughter was in a pre-school co-op and I was amazed how easy it was and how well it turned out: wax-paper hearts made with crayon shavings. Our old ones were looking a bit beat-up, so it was time to make some new ones. Martha Stewart’s image is much prettier than mine. (Of course.) And her instructions are also much better than mine would be as well.
I think I’m going to make some more without my little ‘helpers.’

January 29, 2009 at 4:33 pmSo cute. You are a good mom. I will say I was better about teaching my kids when they were your age. I’d rather have fun cutting up stuff with little kids than dealing with adult issues that my kids want help with now. Enjoy Amy. Seriously Enjoy. You are living the good old days.
