My summer work in progress |
A few fun tidbits to share:
The Sewing Summit. Can you come? Have you checked in recently? There are lots of new announcements about sponsors, schedules and teachers. I must say I am SO excited about going to this event. It is going to be awesome and Utah is so pretty in October. And it would be so much fun to hang out if you can come.
Do you like free quilt patterns? Right now if you sign-up for the Accuquilt Mailing list they will give you 22 Free patterns! Click the box below to sign up and to receive those free quilt patterns:
Have you heard about the Martha Pullen Sewing Awards? This is a contest for sewing enthusiasts to enter a recent creation. You could win $200 gift certificate to the Martha Pullen store and a feature in Sew Beautiful magazine. For more information go here. Deadline to enter is October 1, 2011.
Lastly, check out the 4th of July Sale going on at Burgundy Buttons. Great reductions on everything – even brand new stuff like Strawberry Fields, Moda Christmas collections, Bella solids and precuts! The sale ends July 5 at midnight.
Finally, thanks so much for your great responses to the Plastic Bag tutorial. So glad it was entertaining to some of you out there. 🙂 Also thanks for the response to the etsy shop update. It’s been a busy week around here. And now we are enjoying some fun time with extended family together for the holiday weekend. Have a great weekend yourselves and we’ll see you all next week!

Would you believe Martha Pullen is from my neck of the woods? She is from Huntsville Ala. and I live just outside of Huntsville! I remember her opening her first store and my best friend at the time took heirloom sewing lessons from her. My friend now lives in NC and sew professionally. Martha is not only a wonderful seamstress but a wonderful lady as well.<br />Blessings and Happy 4th of July
