Modern Neutrals blog tour

Today I’m participating in a blog tour of Amy Ellis’s latest book Modern Neutrals: A Fresh Look at Neutral Quilt Patterns.

Last summer as Amy was working on a really tight deadline, she contacted me to see if I would be willing to piece one of the quilt tops for this new book. Here is a picture of the one I sewed, called Waves. It was so quick and fun to create. I’m kind of antsy to make one for myself.Ever since then I was so excited to see the other quilts in the book.
I got my chance last Spring to see Amy’s trunk show of all the quilts in the book. SO many cool and really unique designs and as always, they’re even more inspiring in person.

Here are a few more from the book that I liked. I really want to make the one on the right, called Digital Pinwheel. It would be fun to try it in bold colors too. The quilts in the book are all made from blacks, whites, grays, and tans – hence the name “Neutrals” – but I think they would look equally cool in colors. Modern Neutralsis available on Amazon or at your local quilt shop.

Would you like to win a copy for yourself? Visit Amy’s blog to find out the other stops on the tour. Each blogger will answer a question. You can then enter all the answers in this form.  At the end of the week, Amy will randomly draw 10 names from the forms with all correct answers! Good luck!

I don't think I really care for the neutrals too much but can picture them in bright colors instead like you say you will do.

I just got this book and LOVE the patterns – so scrap friendly, in ANY color combination! Also a good selection of quilts that are good for men!

I bought this book months ago for the shop, sold out 5 min. After I opened the shipment. Wonderful book & the projects are all equally appealing. It is a must have for any quilting library.

I used to think that modern meant BRIGHT colors until until I saw this wonderful book. I love the quilt you made. Since I saw the book, I have been wanting it and now I have a chance to win it. Thanks for sharing in the book blog tour and telling everyone about a fabulous book. I follow you on Bloglovin and learned of the tour. I could read quilt blogs all day long.
