Happy 2015! It’s that time of year again! Time for resolutions, cleaning out, and photo mosaics!
2014 was an amazing year – not sure how we’ll top that one – but I’m looking forward to what the next year brings. Last year at this time I knew I had a book coming out, and was planning a dream-trip to England. As I look forward to 2015 I don’t have any upcoming events that are nearly as exciting and dramatic, but I’m looking forward to it none-the-less.
I’ve got some fun plans and ideas up my sleeve that I’m excited to share. But I’d also love to hear from you. What would YOU like to see from the quilt-blog-universe in 2015?
A huge thank you for all of the kindness and support you readers have shown me here. I continue to be amazed at the blessing this community is in my life.
May your 2015 be off to a happy start!
Beata
beautiful work..

Hi Amy, Happy New Year to you, your family and your lovely blog followers! I love your work and the clear way you describe the gorgeous quilts you make. I'm a novice quilter and while I've mastered the sewing and piecing of the top of the quilt, I struggle with the actual quilting. I don't have any specialist machines and would love a simple tutorial of how to start the quilting,

Such a lovely collections of makes. 🙂 I saw a Union Jack picture frame at Anthropologie the other day and you crossed my mind. lol Happy New Year!

Happy new year! What I'd like to see-not just using your stash, but pulling from items you have, rulers and such, pulling out the old and making it new. After jumping back into to quilting in 2014, I found myself making what I had bought (most from 2003 and prior) and making it work for the patterns I saw out there. If you are using a new ruler (speciality ones too), explaining why and how

What an awesome year!!! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for this year 😉

I love how to's

I love how to's also. What to do when your 1/2 way done with a quilt and the fabric is no longer available what to do? How to organize your time. How do all these bloggers find time to complete what they do? I barely can find 5 minutes to sew…I completed three swoon blocks this year…That is it. Thanks for all you do!
Linda
My husband just retired, and I feel the need to stop buying fabric and use not only the fabric I have but also start some scrap projects. I just made my first attempt at organizing my scraps. I've looked on Pinterest for ideas, but in the end I just stuck all into whatever bag or box I had available. I'd really like to have my scraps organized and ready to use. Is it best to cut scraps

Happy new year, I'm sure you'll have an awesome 2015 :o)

I enjoy your work and your blog. I am completely obsessed with quilt making, but sometimes what I make is not as fantastic as I thought it would be. When I see all the amazing quilts (like yours!) out there, I wonder "How often do their projects turn out not-so-great?" When I am making something and it is not coming together as originally envisioned, I wonder if I should just abandon

Hi! Carol. Your comment inspired me to write a post for my blog – I called it 'Lowering the bar!' and shared one of my far from perfect UFOs! Take heart and enjoy the process of making! Also 'Canadian Abroad' posted a project where the contrast between fabrics in one block hadn't worked so she was set for a bit of unpicking!
Best wishes
Allison

Wishing you a healthy and happy New Year! Love your projects and your blog!

All those quilts–Wowzers! You're my go-to blogger for teaching this new quilter what I need to know–you have so many tutorials that I use and I really appreciate that you make quilts of all sizes as I get my feet (you know, the ones I use on the sewing machine!) under me. Thank you so much, Amy, and best wishes to you and your crew for 2015!

Crazy quilts! String quilts! Did I mention crazy quilts? I love the random nature of crazy quilts. As an added bonus, they use up a huge amount of scraps you have left over from other projects. And projects using thrifted materials……. from old clothing, bedsheets, curtains, etc……. are always a winner! Did I mention crazy quilts?

I'm looking forward to clearing my sewing room of many UFOs. I have placed myself on a class, workshop, and fabric purchase moratorium until I finish a few things. I started this UFO resolution the Friday before Christmas. My daughter came over and we emptied my sewing/craft room and filled it up with all the good and send a lot of stuff off to Savers for someone else to love. Since then,
Carolyn
I appreciate all your tutorials. I know they're a lot of work, but that's what we, beginners, need. Thanks for your inspiration all year long. Can't wait to see what the new year holds.

I just found your blog over the last year and have loved following it along. Your pictures/quilts are beautiful and have been really inspired to actively get back into sewing/quilting! I would love to see more tutorials. I'm especially curious about techniques for cutting fabric. Do you just cut out your shape? Do you cut "with" the fabric in a certain way/direction? Etc… Also,
Nancy Conley
I would love to see some quilt label making tutorials. I've seen several different ideas for labels, but am unsure of how they're done. And, since you are the master at tutorials – I'd love to see your ideas!

It sure was an amazing year for you in 2014! That is also the year that I discovered your blog, which in turn your blog and you are what first turned me on to quilt bloggers as well as picked up my desire for sewing and quilting. I really owe it all to your blog! I may not always comment (as life gets in the way at times with just being able to snag a read here and there), but I assure you, I am
