For those of you sewing along in the Summer Sampler series, my block, Corner Canyon, was emailed out this morning. Here is my version of that block. You can find out more about the Summer Sampler series, see the other designers, etc. here. You can also follow along with what others are doing in the Summer Sampler Facebook group.
I chose my color palette based on this fat quarter bundle curated by Sedef Imer for Westwood Acres’ I Want Her Stash club a few months back. I just loved the combinations she chose!
I pulled a bunch more fabrics from my own stash to go with it and set it aside for making Summer Sampler Blocks. I had high hopes of staying caught up, but summer, travel, being sick, LIFE… just got in the way. Hopefully over the weeks ahead I’ll catch up. In the meantime I’m really enjoying seeing the blocks in various color and fabric combinations that people are sharing in the Facebook group. Great stuff!
If you’d still like to join the Summer Sampler group (we can catch up together!) you can sign up for the Summer Sampler (and get a new block every week for the next 2 months) here.
Can’t wait to see all of the variations on this block. Check out Faith, Lee, and Katie to see theirs!
One more fun thing: This afternoon I’ll be a guest on Pat Sloan’s live podcast for American Patchwork and Quilting. You can tune in live or listen to the recorded broadcast here. All I ask is you don’t make fun of my Utah accent. 😉

I love your fabric pull for this project – absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to see it come together. I also enjoyed listening to you on the podcast, but I didn’t notice your accent so now I have to go back and have another listen paying better attention 😉

I also love your fabric selections! I see a beautiful quilt in the works!
Looking forward to seeing the finished top!!

Congratulations!
I’m west coast, I have relatives in Utah, Ore., Wash., and Ca., I never hear any difference. Now go to the east coast if you want hear ‘accents’.
