I was SO excited last week. You may remember that I contributed a quilt to the upcoming edition of the Quilter’s Planner. I’ve been anxiously awaiting my copy, and it arrived this past week! I couldn’t wait to see what the finished product looked like and to feel it for myself.
The planner exceeded all of my expectations. It’s a thick, weighty planner with dividers for each month that features a monthly calendar as well as weekly pages with a colum for every day of the month to keep track of appointments or daily schedules.
I have to admit, I’m SO EXCITED about that space to write things down and be able to see everything at a glance. I’m kind of an old-fashioned girl when it comes to calendaring. I like to be able to write my schedules, lists, etc on paper and find things easily and quickly.
The other cool feature of the weekly pages is that they also include a free unique block pattern and tutorial, as well as a different free-motion quilting design/pattern and links to how-to videos to make your own. I love these! I’m so un-creative when it comes to free-motion quilting and these are not only motivating me to try, but making it look so much easier than I thought.
Each divider features a gorgeous quilt picture – all photos shot by Kitty Wilkin on the coast of Maine. This gorgeous quilt was designed by Amy Sinibaldi and the pattern is included in the planner.
I was so excited to flip through the planner and find the picture of my quilt. And doubly excited that I got to be the March cover-girl, because March is my birthday month. 🙂 (You can read more about this quilt and see more of the photos Kitty shot in this post.)
Here are more of the images of the quilts featured in the planner. Patterns for all of the quilts are included with the purchase of the Quilter’s Planner. (Two are included in the hard-copy planner. The rest are all available as a digital ebook you can download with patterns from other designers such as: Amy Friend of During Quiet Time, Amy Sinibaldi of Nana and Co.,AnneMarie Chany of GenXQuilters, Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs, Christa Watson of Christa Quilts, Karen Lewis of Karen Lewis Textiles, Kari Vojtechovsky of Craft-Happy, Katie Blakesley of Swim Bike Quilt, Lee Monroe of May Chappell, Lindsey Rhodes of LR Stitched, Rita Hodge of Red Pepper Quilts, Stephanie Palmer of Late Night Quilter, and Yvonne Fuchs of Quilting Jetgirl.)
And finally, the Quilter’s Planner has lots of space for you to plan your own projects, doodle, sketch and organize. I can’t wait to use this space too. Usually I’m sketching in random places and losing my note and doodles. This way I can keep my life regular life AND my quilty life organized in ONE PLACE.
Here’s a sample of what you can do with those quilt planner pages. Doesn’t it just inspire you to get creative and organized all at the same time? All of the pages are beautiful, thick, matte pages that won’t bleed or make it hard for your pen to write on.
My final favorite feature is the inpsiration to be found, not only from the gorgeous quilt photography, but some beautiful motivational quotes and graphics throughout.
As I mentioned, the Quilter’s Planner is a large, sturdy book, but since you might not want to lug that around with you everywhere, there is an option to order an additional Mini Quilter’s Planner that you can easily carry around in a purse. It also includes space for daily lists and appointments as well as pages to doodle and plan your next project.
The Quilter’s Planner would make the perfect Christmas gift. You might want to let your favorite gift-giver know it’s on your list. 😉
PS – To guarantee Christmas delivery, planners need to be ordered by Dec 10th!
