Happy Easter from the Gingham Girls circa 1978. 😉
I love Easter. I love dying eggs (although, now that my kids are older, they’re not as interested as they used to be, but I’m glad they still do it to humor me.) 🙂
I love celebrating the return of spring and a chance for renewal.
I love dressing in our Sunday best and being with family.
This Easter feels a little more poignant for me. I have watched from a distance and ached this week as multiple friends have mourned painful losses of loved ones who died far too young. It’s put a lot of life in perspective. I’ve also watched others – and myself – struggle with frustration, anxiety, and fear over many issues in recent weeks.
So this is why I celebrate, because this is where I find real peace and hope:
Whatever your traditions, beliefs, hopes and fears, dreams and goals, please know that I am sending you love and encouragement and wishing you a very happy Sunday with you and those you love. xo
