I-spy charm squares in the shop!

It’s that time of year! Time to list a new bundle of I-spy Charm squares again! I’ve been curating these little bundles of 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ pre-cut squares for about 7 years now. It takes a while to collect enough prints to get a wide enough variety, not to mention get them all cut (hence the once-a-year-thing). But hopefully they’re worth the wait. I always think they turn out so cute.

These bundles consist of 65+ different 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ squares – perfect for making a cute little baby or toddler quilt. Β Each one has a cute novelty print, perfect for playing “I spy”.

Here’s a peek of some of the prints included in this round of fabrics. All fabrics are high-quality quilting fabrics. I’m especially fond of vintage-inspired motifs. There are lots of animals and other cute illustrations. No cartoon-y characters (sorry, no SpongeBob or Smurfs) so that the pieces are timeless.

Included with the purchase is a free PDF pattern for this 40″ x 40″ baby quilt. It’s beginner friendly for someone just getting started, but also a quick gift for someone with lots of sewing experience.

You can find the Pre-cut I-Spy Squares + Quilt Pattern here!

This year, for the first time, I’m also offering kits that include fabric for the off-set squares.

I made a version of this quilt a few years back using the Riley Blake Black La Creme Swiss dot and love the look. If you’d like some of the Swiss Dot, there are two options:

Here is another variation of an I-spy quilt I made a couple of years ago. This one is all patchwork, no borders. To make this quilt you will need 7/8 yard of the dot and 97 I-Spy squares (so either another I-spy charm pack, or cut 35 more squares from your own stash.)

The 65 squares + 1 yard of Swiss Dot is found here.

So there you go. And, as you can see,Β I took a bit of a longer break than I’d intended. But it was necessary and good. School starts for us next week + we had family from out of town staying with us, and I decided this old blog could wait patiently while I am engaged with family. It was the right call. Not much sewing going on either. But I’m hoping school starting will bring a little more structure in our lives and I’ll get caught-up on my “to-do” list! (And my email inbox. Yikes. Apologies if you’ve been trying to reach me. Hoping to dig out soon!)

And I haven’t forgot the Daisy Days Four-patch tutorial. It’s in the works!

I love ‘I Spy’ fabrics. There aren’t any children in my family young enough to enjoy them but to get in on the fun, I could make the quilts and donate them to a pregnancy center near me. Hmmm…

Hi Amy. I already have your quilt pattern and have made 2 of them! Can I just buy a pack of charm squares alone?

I just purchased a set! I love the cute fabrics. They remind me of a quilt my grandmother made in the 50’s! Thanks, Amy!
