I've been catching up on my Patchwork Quilt Along blocks. I love watching the nice stack of blocks that is accumulating. I'm up to 54 blocks!
The Patchwork Quilt Along is hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop as a fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation. Each month a free block pattern is released with a donation suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation. You can find links to all of the free blocks here.
This month the block is called Grandmother's Choice. You can find the September pattern here.
I also finally caught up on my August blocks this week. This block is called the Rolling Nine Patch and you can find the pattern here.
With 6 blocks each month I'm up to 54 blocks. And I'm kind of proud of myself keeping up with the Quilt Along! I'm using parts of the Patchwork Quilt Along Quilt using Bonnie and Camille Basics and supplementing with some of my other Bonnie and Camille scraps. Just because I have an independent streak. 😉
I love playing with them on my design wall. This time I tried laying them out on point and I'm digging it. The Fat Quarter Shop* will have finishing instructions, but my independants streak may play a role in how I finish mine.
On a totally different note, I decided to start a Halloween project today. And look at me! Doing it more than a month before the holiday! So, totally not last minute, right? lol I picked up some of the recent Halloween prints from the Eek Boo Shriek and Trick or Treat collections from Riley Blake and I'm going to mix them in with pieces from my stash. Stay tuned!
Fingers crossed, I'll start cutting it up this weekend.

Oh, my goodness! The blocks look so good all together! Truly makes me want to jump right up, grab my closest fat quarter bundle, and sew madly throughout the weekend to catch up!
