Meet Liza Taylor and Her New Christmas Book
Hi Everyone!
My name is Liza Taylor from Liza Taylor Handmade and I am so excited to share my new book, "Wonderful World of Paper Pieced Quilt Blocks for Christmas" with you!
If you love Christmas sewing, fun projects, and foundation paper piecing, this book was created with you in mind. It is filled with 13 holiday foundation paper-pieced designs and 9 projects to help you create handmade pieces you'll look forward to bringing out year after year.
What's Inside the Book
Inside, you'll find a collection of Christmas-inspired FPP blocks designed to bring a little holiday magic to your sewing room. Each block comes in two sizes, 5" and 7", giving you lots of flexibility to use them in all kinds of projects. From quilts and wall hangings to smaller festive makes, you can mix, match, and make the designs your own.
The book also includes 9 sampler projects to show you different ways to turn your blocks into finished pieces. My hope was to create projects that feel festive and special while still giving you plenty of opportunities to add your own creativity and personality.
Easy-to-Print Paper-Piecing Templates
And because I know printing templates can sometimes be one of the less glamorous parts of foundation paper piecing, the book includes on-page templates as well as downloadable templates. There is a QR code that makes it easy to access and print the patterns and templates at home.
Who Is This Book For?
This book is for anyone who loves Christmas and wants to create beautiful handmade holiday projects!
If you're already a foundation paper piecing fan, you'll have so much fun with the festive designs and all the different ways you can use them. But this book is also a wonderful place for quilters who are newer to foundation paper piecing and want to learn the technique while creating something fun and exciting.
You don't have to be an expert to get started. I wanted the book to feel approachable and encouraging, with projects that help you build your confidence as you sew.

I'm so excited to make blocks from Paper Pieced Blocks for Christmas. I made one little 5" x 5" mittens block (using Scandi-inspired Christmas fabric!) and and I've already got the papers printed out to do a few more!
