Published: Jul 10, 2024 by Amy Smart · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

The July subscription box from Perfectly Pieced by ME Time Embroidery arrived last week with the cutest citrus-inspired quilt block, perfect for a fun summer sewing project! I love these subscription boxes from ME Time as they come with everything you need to make a a variety of projects featuring gorgeous, perfectly-pieced foundation-pieced quilt blocks.

For clarification: this foundation-piecing system is done in an embroidery hoop, so your machine must have an embroidery arm attachment. This post is sponsored by ME Time Embroidery, but all thoughts, experiences and opinions are my own.

What makes the Perfectly Pieced subscription box unique?

It's all about curated creativity delivered right to your doorstep every month. Every month features a unique quilt block pattern and each box is created to include everything you need to make a stunning project from start to finish. And even better - there are multiple unique projects to choose from in each box, with options available in 2", 4", 6" or 8" blocks so you can really customize your own creativity.

I choose to make the 8" x 8" blocks this time to create this 18" x 18" mini quilt/pillow. And you can see that I customized the layout with mine. While the project instructions are excellent, you can always put your own spin on the project!

I also used scraps to make the mini mug rug option with embroidered text. This one featured a 4" x 4" citrus block and was perfect for using up scraps.

I made a second on for fun, just to play with color and thread options.

Also included in each box: a spool of Glide polyester thread, perfect for machine embroidery, a handy tool or notion (this month is was a jump drive for downloading embroidery files), and a collectible pin featuring that month's block.

With the subscription, you also receive access to the digital files with the pieced block as well as a unique all-over quilting design that work with the Clear Blue Tiles machine quilting system. I have LOVED collecting these quilting designs and have used them for quilting multiple projects, also in the embroidery hoop.

You can read more details about How the Perfectly Pieced subscription box works HERE as well as how the blocks are pieced using a foundation-piecing method on stabilizer in the embroidery hoop. (I'm using the Baby Lock Altair II.)

There is also an option to piece the individual quilt block with (like a quilt-as-you-go project) or without a layer of batting.

Another aspect I appreciate about ME Time Embroidery is their dedication to quality. Each project is meticulously planned to ensure that subscribers receive not only beautiful designs but also excellent, clear instructions that guide you through every step. This attention to detail makes the piecing-experience enjoyable and stress-free.
