Or just get you in the mood for Fall itself!

Hi, I'm Stacey from Stacey Lee Creative, and I'm so happy to be back here as a guest on Diary of a Quilter to share some of my favorite fall sewing projects with you. I share weekly sewing and quilting tutorials on YouTube and my blog, create beginner‑friendly patterns, run a monthly Quilt Club for quilters who love sewing together, and organize an annual Quilt Donation Drive supporting youth in foster care.

Meet Stacey Lee Creative - designer who shares online sewing and quilting project tutorials

I grew up in New Zealand, where we don't celebrate fall in the same way as here in the United States. When I moved to America, I fell in love with the season right away. The rich colors, the crisp air, and the cozy feeling that comes with decorating and making things for home completely won me over. It quickly became one of my favorite times of year to sew.

Now, every year as the leaves start to turn, I can't wait to pull out my fabric stash and work on projects that bring that fall warmth into my home. Small fall sewing projects are perfect because they are quick to make, use up scraps you might already have, and can be enjoyed right away. They also make wonderful handmade gifts to share with friends and family.

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite small fall sewing projects. These quick, beginner‑friendly tutorials are perfect for fall decorating or thoughtful handmade gifts. Whether you're looking for something decorative to add a pop of seasonal color, a practical project you can use every day, or a thoughtful gift idea, these beginner-friendly sewing tutorials are a great place to start.

I've gathered all of my favorite fall projects below so you can choose one or try them all. Each one includes a full step-by-step tutorial to make it easy to follow along and create something beautiful for your home this season.

I love your simple instructions as I am self taught and continuing to learn quilting but enjoy it immensely. Even some of my screwups. I still have yet to grasp how to do a nice corner binding especially continuance pieces.
