My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe is one of my generous sponsors. And today they have a generous giveaway for one of you: a half yard bundle of my Sugarhouse Park collection! Read to learn more!
My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe
My Girlfriends’ Quilt Shoppe is a local store here in Utah where I live (with an online shop as well). In the past few years three of my closes quilt shops have closed. It’s been so sad – and I know this is a trend around the country/world. Brick and mortar quilt shops are irreplaceable in their unique role – a place to gather and build a community.
And I love that that is what My Girlfriends’ has done. I’m so grateful they’re going strong! Their goal is to be a gathering place of encouragement and support for quilters of all levels. As part of that goal they built a store with lots of space for teaching and building relationships. Not only that, they employ lots of people – for every dollar that you spend, 67¢ gets put back into the local community. And you support 44 families!
The original store opened in Logan, Utah with ample room for classrooms or time to just get together and sew with friends.
Their fabric and notions selection is huge and always fresh with inspiring samples and classes offered.
They have since expanded to two more My Girlfriend’s locations – a fabric shop in Midway, Utah (one of my favorite little towns!) and a Sewing Machine and Education Center in Sandy, Utah, which now includes an expanded selection of fabric in partnership with Elaine’s Quilt Block.
Each location offers a full slate of classes – from 2 hour long options to full day or multi-day events and retreats in their brand new spacious classrooms. If you’re a Utah local or traveling to Utah check out the variety of classes they offer.
My Girlfriend’s is also a dealer for Baby Lock sewing machines (my favorite!) and offers lots of great classes on how to use and get the most out of your sewing, embroidery, or longarm quilting machine.
If you are looking to buy a new machine this holiday season, now is a great time! They are having all-time low holiday pricing on all machines, as well as great bundles with lots of extra goodies. And I can’t recommend Baby Lock sewing machines more highly. I have sewn on multiple different models and had great experiences with each one.
If you purchase a machine before December 16th, you will have it in time to be under the Christmas tree.
My Girlfriends stores also have super low prices on all floor and overstock models, including 0% financing, in-house maintenance and repair, and the best education around!
If you buy a new machine, you can bet they are going to provide classes and training to empower you to make the most of that machine. Plus, their experienced team will help you find the right Baby Lock machine for your needs and your budget. It is SO worth it to purchase a machine from a dealer that wants you to have the best experience possible.
You will walk away with the perfect machine for your needs and your budget. As well as the confidence to use it to its full capacity.
The mission has now expanded to online classes and resources, including selling kits, notions, and supplies online as well. You can check out their online quilting classes here with more in the works!
You can also check out their online shoppe here including an amazing selection of tools and notions, quilt kits, wool projects, and patterns. They also have the full range of Kimberbell products, kits, patterns and notions.
My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe is hosting a very generous giveaway on Instagram: a Half Yard Bundle of my new Sugarhouse Park collection along with a gift card for $150 to the shop! (Which can also be used online if you live out of state).
This particular giveaway is run completely through this Instagram post and you’ll need to enter there. (I realize not everyone uses Instagram. If this giveaway doesn’t work for you, don’t worry. We will continue to have other fun giveaways on my blog in the months to come.)
I hope you have some great Girlfriends you can sew with. And if you don’t, find a local shop of your own, tell them thanks for being in business and sign up for a class. We need to keep these local shops in business. Because I guarantee there will be new girlfriends waiting there for you!
