It's been a little while since I shared a "What's on my Sewing Table" post and so I figured it was time for an update. First of all, Hooray! It's March! The weather is starting to change, my first crocus flowers have bloomed, signs spring is really coming. I'm so happy! As a result I've been in the mood for some Spring-inspired Sewing. I'm making some cute, quick projects for a special friend and started a new Easter quilt. Plus, I'm making progress on my RBD Quilt Block Challenge Blocks (In fact, I'm actually caught up!) Here's a look at all of the springtime goodness:

First of all, a couple of quick finishes I've made using the new Peter Rabbit and Friends fabric from Riley Blake Designs. First thing was a pillow case using some flannel I had on hand. I made the pillowcase using the Burrito Pillowcase method from Leslie. They come together so great.
I also whipped up a quick Fat Quarter bag to match. (These are SO fast to make.) Because who wouldn't want a sweet Peter Rabbit toile bag to carry around their favorite things?
Next up: I found a few bundles of pretty pastels at QuiltCon that were calling my name and decided I was in the mood to make a new quilt for Easter.
I paired what I bought with some Liberty Emily Belle basics and Woodland Pastels from Liberty's Tree of Life collection that I had on hand as well as a few prints from the Winged Medley and Floral Charms collections that comes out from Riley Blake this month. (Love those ginghams!)
Using this variety of colors and prints, I knew I wanted to make something scrappy, but it took me a while to come up with the right thing. Then I remembered this Checkered Garden quilt tutorial from Film in the Fridge that has been on my bucket list forever. It's perfect!
Here's what I've got done so far. Not too many blocks, but I've already pulled 8 more blocks worth of fabric combinations. (Which is my favorite part of quilt making.) I think it's going to be pretty fantastic.
All I want to do right now is make more of these blocks...
2025 Riley Blake Quilt Block Challenge
Finally, I'm all caught up on my 2025 Riley Blake Designs Quilt Block Challenge blocks!
Here are the two most recent blocks #6 and #7.
You can find the free quilt block patterns for these blocks on the Riley Blake website.
And here are all of my blocks so far. I love how they're all looking together!
You can also read more about this year's Quilt Block Challenge and what fabrics I'm using here.
So, lots of very fun stuff on my sewing table this month. And I just keep wanting to play with all of it!
