I've also been trying to catch up on my Aurifil Block of the Month blocks. (One of the many things I'm behind on.) These two blocks were really fun. The one on the left is the August block of the month (free pattern here) and the one on the right is from July (free pattern here.) I'm especially smitten by Camille's On the Plus Side block (right). I think I'd like a whole quilt out of these.
Here are all of my blocks so far. I still have some catching up to do, but I figure with one a week or so, I'll catch up quick. You can find links to all of the 2014 Aurifil Blocks of the Month here. And don't forget - you can enter a photo of your blocks to the Aurifil Flickr group to be entered to win awesome thread prizes. (Big ones!)

ooh love those little trees - can't wait for that pattern 🙂 I think that little bits of stolen time for ourselves are the lot of all working moms (which is to say all moms!). I can't wait to be retired and then maybe get some good sewing time in - teehee.

Drivers ed? I didn't realize you had a child that old. I guess they've grown up quickly. Sigh.

Oh, I love those little trees! I made some years ago, but maybe I need another go.

Nooo! You can't possibly have a teen ready for driver's ed--maybe some adult in the house is brushing up on driving skills? (I just took a driver's ed class for seniors that reduced my car insurance rate--but you couldn't possibly qualify for that. 🙂 Those cute trees look like just the jump into some improv that I need.
