    Upcoming projects + good causes

Kind of a hodgepodge to share today - lots of random things, but still some pretty pictures. First of all: are you in need of ideas for Mother's Day - maybe even ideas for yourself? Here are 50+ ideas of gifts to make or give to Quilters. You're welcome.

A lot of sewing going on behind the scenes around here. Some of the projects are for market and I can't share those just yet. I'm also sewing a few different quilts with upcoming Riley Blake Collections. I'm trying to do a better job of showing works in progress - not just magically finished quilts. So here is some of the fabric on my cutting table at the moment.

This bright and cheerful collection is called Club Havana by Patty Young. It will arrive in stores in June. I'm working on releasing a new quilt pattern with these prints. I just dropped off the quilt at Sew Shabby Quilting yesterday to work her magic. I'll be sharing in a few weeks!

Also on my cutting table - this adorable collection called Lancelot by Citrus and Mint. This will be for a crib quilt and I'm itching to start cutting into it!

I've also had a couple of quilts for baby quilts on my to-do list for a while now. I had a charm pack of this cute Neverland collection by Jill Howarth. I pulled out fabrics from my stash to play with it. It'll be simple patchwork, but SO cute in those prints!

Also on my cutting table: This AMAZING pile of scrappy log cabin blocks for Project Linus! I think we're at around 200! If you'd still like to make one, you can send it to me by this weekend. I'm going to sort the blocks next week to be pieced into quilts. Thank you SO MUCH to all who have contributed - as well as those who have volunteered to help piece or quilt. I'll be contacting you next week!

A few other items of business:

A few months ago I shared some mystery blocks I contributed to a mystery quilt hosted by CottonCuts for a designer raffle quilt to benefit one of their partners, Valley Industries - a provider whose mission is to provide dignified, meaningful employment for adults with developmental disabilities. My husband has two adult brothers with Down Syndrome so I'm feeling an extra special connection to this cause.

You can see more of the puzzle pieces made by other designers and learn about how to enter the raffle here. (Even if you don't need another quilt, think of it as a small donation to a worthy cause.)

Sponsor Quilt Sandwich Fabrics is celebrating 10 years in business! This month, with every order, they are including a free kit + pattern to make a heart mini quilt.

    Happy Weekend everyone!
