Vanessa of V and Co. is having a fabulous giveaway: these two Moda Honey Buns from the fabric lines Swanky and Sweet. Vanessa did a really cute braided rug tutorial for the new Moda Bake Shop blog. (A really great spot for free patterns and ideas.) Vanessa is one talented girl. (Not to mention hilarious.) I've met her a couple of times because the quilt store where I work carries her patterns.
Can I just say that Sweet is my current favorite new line? I've been SO good about not buying any, but I did cave at this polka-dot. It's just too perfect for that 40's retro quilt I want to make like the one I saw in Carmel. This particular fabric disappeared at the store within days of putting the bolt on the floor. (That's why I had to snag some before it was gone!) Hopefully we'll get more.
And speaking of 'sweet' I just participated in my first FQ swap (hosted by Darci). My package arrived yesterday all the way from snowy Maine. Look at that cute ribbon too. Thank you Margaret!
