And this Swoon-y block is for Trish. I bought the pattern for this one ages ago and it's been on my "some-day" list forever. It's a huge block - finishes 20" square. Now that I've got one under my belt, I'm feeling motivated to make some more for myself. Add it back on the list.
It's hard to believe October is here! We had a cold front blow through last week that was a bit of a wake-up call that summer is really over. (Insert sad faces here.) I'll be so sad when my tomato plants go. I planted mine so late that they're finally yielding a lot of tomatoes! For some reason by big tomatoes aren't doing well, but these "sweet hundreds" are still going gang-busters. I'm going to keep enjoying them as long as possible!
Going to Cascade Springs reminded me of our trip last year and that made me realize that I need to finish my Modern Maples quilt. One more thing to catch-up on!
And now a couple of Public Service Announcements, just a little reminder that tickets for the Quilt Bliss retreat here in Utah this January are almost sold out. Check out availability here. If you are local and just want to buy a day pass you can use the code AMY15 for $15 off the day pass price! It would be so fun to hang out!
Finally, my friend Amber at Crazy Little Projects just released her second Ebook: Learn to Sew. She has some great ideas for beginning sewing projects. Click here to visit Crazy Little Projects.

I follow your blog and am excited to see that you will be attending Quilt Bliss. I'm from Albuquerque, but will be headed to Salt Lake for the retreat.

The blocks are so pretty. And I totally understand what your life has been like lately because mine has been the same. I'm hoping to spend some time on Sunday in my studio getting to know my Lucy again.

Cascade Springs looks beautirful, and rejuvenating. Every time I make the Swoon block, I'm always surprised at how large it is...

Such pretty autumn colours there! It's funny, last weekend I was in the Alps, the year before I was in Salt Lake, obviously there's something about travelling in October for me these days...

I am so far behind in the Virtual Quilting Bee. I sort of fell out of love with my fabric choices, but not one to leave things unfinished, I will get back to it pretty soon.<br />Thanks for hosting this bee.xoxo

Haha - I know that feeling of falling out of love with a project. I have one too many of those. If it makes you feel any better, I still love your fabric choices. 😉
