Liberty of London gift certificate giveaway

Duckadilly liberty of london fabric shop

images from DuckaDilly

There’s something about summer that makes me crave sewing with tana lawns from Liberty of London. They’re also making me nostalgic for my visit to Liberty last summer. (sigh…) I pulled out my Liberty stars that I started making on our trip last year and have loved working on it again.

Duckadilly logo

One of the best US online selections of Liberty of London prints, is DuckaDilly. You must stop by their shop just to get your fill of eye-candy. Honestly. SO much pretty in one place! Rainbow Stash PackDuckadilly, owned by Lesley, is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lesley has been a long time connoisseur of all things Liberty – having lived in London and studied around the corner from the Liberty flagship store. The DuckaDilly site is not only beautiful, but SO well organized and easy to navigate. They also have a new feature – a personal Swatches gallery where you can login and store and sort the prints you’re most in love with.

Rainbow Scrap Pack

In addition to yardage, DuckDilly also has multiple bundles and clubs available including the I Love Liberty monthly club where you will receive 12 different Liberty prints each month.

Rainbow Jelly Roll (1)

DuckaDilly also cuts their own precuts including Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs and Triangles.

Color Stash Packs

And Duckadilly carries a large selection of bundles and stash packs – sorted by collection, color, and size. Other items in stock include prints from the 2015 Alice In Wonderland collection and Liberty trims.

DuckDilly Liberty of London pre-cut jelly rolls

I went to their site last week and swooned so hard! My favorite that they offered were the precut jelly rolls. Also, my daughter’s room is Alice in Wonderland themed. So I’ve been collecting different Alice fabrics for a quilt. So their little Alice offerings were just perfect.

I have added a trip to Ann Arbor on my “places to go, things to see” list. The only reason I can think of to go to Ann Arbor is to visit Duck a Dilly. As beautiful as these fabrics are to look at, I can only imagine how good they feel…special fabrics to use for special quilt making – WONDERFUL!

Liberty, Tana Lawn?? Where do I even begin??? Aside from the incredible feel of the fabric, as an artist, I have such an appreciation for the incredible patterns and colours used in this line. Everything from the traditional petite florals to the newer illustrated children’s storybook characters. I’ve been collecting fat quarters and 1/2 yds for years. I’m just waiting for the right quilt t to use this very special stash on, but in the meantime, I will just have to keep adding to my collection. :o)

Gallymoggers. My granddaughter will visit in July and she wants to make her first quilt. She is taking sewing lessons at home (800 miles away) and is making skirts and simple dresses. This summer she wants to learn how to make a quilt. Molly loves all things pink and this fabric line has prints just the right scale for the projects I am going to suggest.

I am differing from the norm in here to say I’d pick some of their cute jersey knits. I have three little girls who love dresses and it’s nice to have simple ones they can pull on and off by themselves rather than needing zipped, tied, or buttoned in 🙂 I’d have to get a few yards of a few different knits for some cute dresses.

WOW – everything is beautiful but I decided on the 2015 collection of NEW Liberty of London Tana Lawn Bundle: Oxford. With all the pattern and colors in these pieces, I could cut them up for my scrappy quilts and no two would look the same. Thank you for offering the chance to win.

If I had to pick only one… Suzy Elizabeth from the Alice in Wonderland collection. I have always loved all things “Alice”. I have a sister named Alice, and I would have to make her something. What a special collection!

Pretty Fabrics! Love the Alice in Wonderland series. If I was buying, I’d start with primary, but the pinks are calling me too!

Duckadilly is my favorite LOL supplier. I’ve purchased from UK based sites and I always love everything I get but, “ouch” the sticker price for shipping. I might as well shop at Duckadilly. Spend the extra that I would spend on shipping and get free shipping for orders over $75. I just love LOL and Duckadilly has fast and dependable service. My fave is their Tana Lawn Bundles.
