I am sharing a new super-easy Baby Quilt tutorial over at Ucreate today. The great thing about this project is that it would be a really easy pattern to adapt to a larger quilt size. In fact, I think I would like it even more as a bigger quilt.
I'm also talking about how to pick fabrics for a quilt - so if that is something that makes you too scared to even start a quilt project without breaking into a cold sweat, this post might help you conquer your fear.
I'll share more photos of the quilt next week.
I am really digging some of these new fabrics from Free Spirit. Plus a little Joel Dewberry.
AND I'm going to have kits available to make your own! Stay tuned!
Also, watch this space for some redesign changes at Diary of a Quilter. I'm pretty excited. Hopefully no big orange barrels, but there may be some slow down due to construction. No federal stimulus package money was used for this beautification project.

What a beautiful quilt! I envy you your talent! I can't sew, but I wish I could. I even have a quilting sewing machine. I love the idea of making my own quilts, but my sewing machine confounds my sewing-challenged brain.
