Our Christmas holiday was fantastic. The best part: everyone miraculously stayed healthy (except the computer) and we were able to spend lots of time with extended family including cute cousins who live out of state. Great news.
But I must admit I've been looking forward to today and getting back into my routine and catching up on computer-related stuff. I thought I would have some big blocks of time to get to things today but I've already had to re-work around the suddenly changed pre-school playgroup schedule (much to the dismay of my 4-yr-old) and make two extra trips to the Elementary school to deliver a left-behind back pack and to pick up my daughter who has a stomach ache. So much for back to normal. Wait . . . this IS normal.
PS Many thanks for all of the interest expressed in the quilt I made for my sister for Christmas. I wish I had a pattern to share, but I made up most of it as I went along. However, you've motivated me to perhaps put all the math on paper and publish one. . . I'll keep you posted on that one.

So how did your carpet turn out, what with the hot iron landing on it and all? I love your blocks, that fabric always tempts me when I see it. So so cute!

"luxurious" is the exact word I would have used to describe your day. :o) How fantastic. :o) I really like your first image. :o) Will you share the finished product with us? Please? :o)
Happy New Year!
Sincerely, Trish

The carpet was mostly unharmed (at least not noticeably) but the iron came up with a layer of melted nylon goo. Fortunately once the iron cooled, I've been able to peel most of it off. It's my $5 thrifted Rowenta so it wouldn't have been the end of the world, but it's a great iron so I still would have been sad if it was a loss. I think I will continue to stick with $5 thrifted

Nice to see some new projects coming on. Wish I had a few hours to sew away... Soon, when school starts again. Curious about the Chrysalis.

I love the alphabet fabric - what line is it from? Or were you lucky enough to stumble upon it somewhere? I love, love, love your blog! Part of my daily ritual now!

This pic of your Chyrsalis has forced me to use my last pre-cuts of my Arcadia (I know, it's been way too long!). Anywho, do you know if this line would coordinate well with Arcadia. I will definately need some more orange and thought the viney pattern would look nice if they do. Thanks so much!!!
