Let me introduce Emily Herrick of Crazy Old Ladies Quilts. She is obviously not an old lady, but she is crazy-talented. This girl is amazing. And a lot of fun! Emily was at the quilting retreat I attended a week ago and she shared a trunk show of some of her creations.
Love these hand-pieced Grandmother's Flower Garden block. I also love how she just appliqued them to the quilt top, but it still looks like she pieced all the in-between hexagons. Clever. I'm going to file this idea away somewhere in my brain for future use. But in the meantime I'm glad it's recorded here because I know I'll forget.
The next two quilts are made from Emily's first fabric collection called, Going Coastal. I LOVE this collection. I'm especially fond of the Bottle Caps and the Madras Plaid. The collection debuted with Michael Miller at Spring Market last May and hit stores a few months ago. This quilt pattern is called Road Block.
And finally, Emily shared the quilts she took to Market in Houston last month showcasing her newest fabric collection, Hall of Fame. Don't you love this pennant quilt with the cool pennant fabric for the border? (sorry about the blurry picture. I guess it was an 'action shot'.) This pattern is called Pep Rally. (And is now on my 'must-make' list.)
Another Hall of Fame quilt called, Out of Time. The Bah Hum Bug quilt at the top of the post is also from Hall of Fame fabrics. (So versatile.) Hall of Fame will ship to stores in a few months. Emily has some of her patterns in her Etsy shop, others are available from the retailers listed on the right side of her blog.
Good stuff. Thanks to Emily for sharing her talents and hilarious personality with us gawkers fans.

Being a beach girl that is now land-locked, that Going Coastal line is going to need to make it's way to my house and become something fun. I love it! Now if I could just have some time to get back to my sewing machine...
