(By the way – today was moving-bolts-and-doing-inventory-day at work. Inventory=not that fun. Carrying around bolts of new fabric=fun.)
This little (?!) pile is for new nursing covers and diaper clutches. I’ve finally finished a few of the nursing covers. Now I am working on a new prototype of a diaper clutch. [What is a diaper clutch you ask? It is a more stylish package for carrying around a spare diaper and package of wipes in your purse to prevent them from being smashed and buried at the bottom of your bag. I still greatly need one of these myself and plan to use this prototype in my own purse.]Once I finish these projects, esp after I work out the bugs on the clutch/non-plastic-baggie-diaper-pouch, I will post some how-to tips as these are pretty easy projects and a good gift!
One of my favorite Christmas presents this year was the Elizabeth Gaskell collection of DVD’s.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to consume this fine entertainment, (and you are of the sort that enjoys British period drama) let me strongly encourage you to hastily get your hands on a copy of any one of the series included in this collection: Wives and Daughters, North and South and Cranford. I promise you will not regret it! |
I discovered Cranford last year when it was on PBS. I absolutely fell in love with this series. Incredible ensemble cast. It made me laugh out loud (that Imelda Staunton!) and weep. High quality entertainment! Can’t wait to watch it again.

January 4, 2009 at 7:38 amMy girlfriend gave me North and South last Christmas, and you are right, it’s a good one! I haven’t seen the others, and they are now on my list.<BR/>I’m excited to see (hopefully a tutorial?) the diaper clutch. Sounds like a good present for new mom’s.

January 5, 2009 at 1:23 pmI can’t stand how awesome that collection is. And to think, I had a small part to play in it. I love your review. I’ll have to have Wendy read it since I am a missionary in the Church of North and South and we spread the opportunity to watch and see for yourself the feeling it enduces. She’s the mission president. I’ve recently been made AP. We might use your testimonial in our pass along cards.
