More quick snapshots in no particular order: Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew and her new collection Oh Clementine for Windham. (Somehow I managed to only snap one and it has Allison's eyes closed. But Allison's booth was too cute not to share!)
The Robert Kaufman area was awesome. I'm so inspired by Carolyn Friendlander's eye and style. Her beautiful booth won an award. I also saw a preview of her beautiful book coming out next fall. Gorgeous. Also inspiring: Elizabeth Hartman's Aviatrix medallion quilt in kona solids and the color in Jennifer Sampou's booth. (It was lovely to meet Jennifer after being part of her Shimmer tour a month ago.)
I love Allison Glass's use of saturated color. Gorgeous booth! She has a line of wool as well that motivated me to start playing with wool again.
Snippets of the Riley Blake booth with Lori Holt's latest and a Union Jack made of buttons! (Somehow I did not get more pics of the RB booths. D'oh! I was too distracted by the nice people and the chocolate mint truffles I guess but you can see more of their booth on the RB blog.)
New Moda designers April Rosenthal and Amy Ellis. I was so excited for both of these girls. They are both Utah girls who I've had the pleasure of calling friends for a few years. April has even helped with my blog and logo design. And now they are both designers for Moda fabrics. So awesome. April's new collection is Best Day Ever and Amy's Modern Neutrals. Yay!
Speaking of lovely Australians, one of the absolute highlights for me was meeting Jen Kingwell. Not only are her quilts incredible, but she is one of the loveliest, most down-to-earth people I've met. I know I tend to be a lazy, hurry-up quilter but making one of Jen's quilt designs is on my bucket list. I wish you could tell from the picture how amazing her use of fabric is. Each quilt is stunning. I'm still awestruck that I get to teach at the same Fat Quarterly retreat this summer. I'm going to have to try not to go fan girl crazy.
Another fun person to meet for the first time was Carrie from Miss Rosie's Quilt Company. She is so funny and so talented.
There are so many generous and supportive people in this industry. These are definitely some of them. I'm grateful to call them friends.
And now, back to the regularly scheduled program. And hopefully my sewing machine too!

Oh my WOW. Is about all I can say to that. <br />What gorgeous beautiful quilts. Jealous that you got to see them all up close.

Thank you for sharing so many pictures! It's a treat to get a sneak preview of up and coming designs and influences. And we are lucky to have Jen Kingwell as a member of our guild in Abu Dhabi!!!

No way! That would be so fun!
Karen - Quilts...etc.
it looks like you had so much fun and the energy is amazing coming from these booths. Such talent all under one roof. I love all these ideas put off from the booths. Now if I just had the income to buy all that fabric!

No I'm am definitely not tired of all the pics. Thank you so much for posting more. It was so nice to see 'familiar' faces from the different blogs. Talking for 1/2 hour in front of a crowd?!? Not for me, but I would have loved to sit and listen. Thank you for another recap of the quilt market!

A lovely inspirational post - thank you for all the lovely photos of the quilts and all the people that were in the pictures, it's nice to see who else makes quilts. Love the union flag quilt, especially as it has buttons.

I haven't even finished my first quilt but I know that had I gone to Quilt Market, my MasterCard would have spontaneously combusted from use! Thanks for letting us see the beautiful material and for giving me inspiration!
Elizabeth
Where can I find the pattern for the quilt you are leaning on in the 4th picture? Is it in your new book? If so, I will buy your book!
amy smart
