I'm so excited to finally preview my 2024 fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs. This collection is called Albion and it's inspired by mountains covered in pine trees and meadows full of wildflowers. Like many of my previous collections, this one is also inspired by sentimental memories and favorite places.
The collection will be available in stores, March 2024 and is available for pre-order here. I'll be sharing more photos and projects between now and then as well as a brand new coordinating quilt pattern.
Here's a little more about the inspiration for this collection: I feel so lucky to have grown up in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. Trips up the nearby canyons and trails are one of my favorite activities and forms of therapy. One of my favorite places of all is Albion (pronounced al·bee·uhn) Basin at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon .
I learned to ski there in winter when I was young, but it's even more glorious in the summer when the whole basin, created by surrounding mountain peaks, is filled with pine trees, running creeks, lakes, and meadows of wildflowers.
Here's another taste of it's summer glory. It's almost heaven.
The Albion collection was created to try and capture some of the mountain summer magic where we love to camp and hike.
I collaborated again with my sister, Laura Miller (@lauramiller.studio), to capture some of the wildflower mystique we love in the Utah mountains.
The colors are more muted and chalky with gouache botanical florals,
assorted plaids, sketch art, stripes and a text print:
I also wanted to make sure there were lots of coordinating low-volume prints.
One of the things I'm extra excited about is this cool periwinkle block cheater print! This one will be available in regular yardage and wide back yardage. I'm already thinking this would be a fun print to make a quilted coat!
I'm also releasing a new pattern called Cascade Falls. This one has been in my sketchbook for years and I'm excited to finally see it come to life in these pretty prints.
I've also remade 3 of my most popular precuts friendly patterns using the Albion collection including:
Pine Hollow Patchwork Forest - because how could I not make a Pine Hollow forest out of mountain - perfect for Fat Quarters
The Lattice quilt which is a perfect pattern for 10" Precuts (aka Layer Cakes) and the large blocks are great for showing off large scale prints.
Also the Hopscotch quilt which is perfect for 2 ½" precut strips (aka Jelly Rolls). I loved remaking this one in a more muted color palette.
As I mentioned, the Albion collection will be available in stores March 2024.
But now is the time for shops to place orders so they will have it available when it is released. If you want, let your favorite quilt shop know that you'd love if they carry Albion!
I'll also be previewing it in person at Houston Quilt Market at the end of the month. My first time back to Quilt Market since 2019! I'm feeling so excited to see people and quilts in real life again!
As always, thank you SO MUCH for all of the support and encouragement you've shown me along this quilting, fabric journey. I'm excited to share a little piece of places that are a part of me, with all of you!

How beautiful! And how exciting for you! This new line of yours will be on my list, and I just love your use of it in Pine Forest -- how very perfect! Someday I'm just gonna bite the proverbial bullet and go to Houston; I just need a personal assistant to lead me around and handle all the details. Haha! Have so much fun!

Your Albion line of fabric is gorgeous. Albion just happens to be the name of the most flavorful and deepest red variety of strawberries grown on the central coast in California.

Your fabrics are great 🥰. And how I miss the Utah mountains—the pictures are wonderful but nothing like seeing and breathing them in person. Never know what you have until you don’t. Looking forward to March so I can purchase this line. Thanks for all the effort you put into it.

Your new collection is beautiful; I love the colors and low volume prints. Albion is the name of a town in western New York State, so I did know how to pronounce it. I'll look for it on its release!
