There continues to be a lot of sewing going on behind the scenes around here. Here's one of the projects I'm working on. I'm making another variation of my new Granny Smith Quilt pattern, featureing my Sunnyside Ave collection.
The original was made with the Green dot and plaid as the background, but I wanted to try it with the white background with navy swiss dots for a different look. Hopeing to get this one off to the quilter today for a fun, new summer quilt!
One of my favorite parts of releasing a new fabric collection is seeing what other people do with it. I am loving so many cute projects made with Sunnyside Ave Fabrics! Here are a few more:
One of my favorites is this Retro-style Gingham Pillow made by Bev of Flamingo Toes. Plus pom poms! Oh my goodness - so adorable! You can find the tutorial for this pillow here.
From Instagram: Love this simple nine-patch quilt made by Kairle Oaks! The white fabric makes the crayola-like colors pop and gives it a vintage feel.
Cutest apple and school house blocks made by Farm Fresh Stiches.
Here's a sneak peak of a quilt pattern coming from Amanda of Jedi Craft Girl. I died seeing that vintage Fisher Price apple toy! Anyone else have one of these? We did! SO perfect with this fabric! Excited to see the full quilt too!
My friend Emily made this perfect little thread catcher for me using both Sunnyside Ave and Gingham Girls fabrics. I love it so much! Now I have a sentimental place next to my machine for all of my scraps and trash. You can find the awesome Thread Catcher Tutorial here.
Speaking of combining Gingham Girls and Sunnyside Ave fabrics check out this fun picnic quilt by Melissa of Happy Quilting! It's so sunny and cheerful! She used the new free Fat Quarter Cubes pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop. So perfect for busting through a bunch of fat quarters to make a quick quilt!
If you're looking for Sunnyside Ave fabrics, check your local quilt shop or these online sources: Fort Worth Fabric Studio, Lady Belle Fabrics, and the Fat Quarter Shop.
This week, I'm off to Quilt Market (trade show). I promise to take lots of photos and bring back a report to share next week. 🙂

So sorry about the misleading email subject! Some how my email service left last week's email title in the subject line. Major Doh. I will resend the Pincushion email to you directly!
I'm so glad you like the new line!
Betty
Glad to know I'm not totally bonkers looking for the pincushions, but seeing Gretel makes me anxious to see the new pattern so all is well. Love the fabric, thanks for the sneak peak at what is to come.
Amy
Goodness - so sorry about that misleading email header!
Thanks for the fabric love. xo
