It’s week #11 of the 2021 Riley Blake Quilt Block Challenge and I’ve got the link to the free pattern for this week’s block!
This week’s block is called Glint and designed by Melissa Mortenson from the Polkadot Chair.
You can download the free Glint quilt block pattern here.
I love seeing all of the variations of each block. Here is a version made with Riley Blake’s latest collection of Confetti Cotton solids. I love the earthy tones of this one.
And I love Melissa’s version in her upcoming Spooky Hollow fabric collection. Melissa has also designed an alternate quilt block companion and finished quilt pattern featuring this block. You can find the free pattern on her site, the Polkadot Chair. So if you like the look of this quilt block, you could make a whole quilt full of them!
I also love Melissa’s version that she’s making in Liberty Summer Flower Show fabrics.
You can find all 10 of the previous quilt block patterns HERE. These blocks are 10″ x 10″ finished (10 ½″ x 10 ½″ unfinished).
For my blocks I’m using the red, white, and blue prints from my Notting Hill fabric collection paired with an assortment of Riley Blake Confetti Cottons in Cloud, Songbird, Tearose, Redwood, and Oxford Blue.

Your block looks like you did a single piece of fabric instead of squares, yes? Was your measurement 6.5 x 2.5?

Yes and Yes! (My path-of-least-resistance-self is always looking for short cuts. 😉
