This is it! The final week of the Pine Hollow Patchwork Forest Quilt Along! I have loved seeing all of the varieties and variations of this quilt. I keep wanting to make it in so many different color palettes after seeing all of yours!
If you missed the previous weeks you can find them here:
Week 1 – Introduction and tips for choosing fabric
Week 2 – Video demonstration of how to make the Improv Patchwork Tree Quilt Block + make 28 small trees
Week 3 - Make 23 Medium size Trees
Week 4 Tips for making "Wonky" Improv Stars
Week 5 - Large Trees + Finish Piecing your Blocks
(Apologies for getting this post up late today. #life)
This week your assignment is to piece all of your blocks together using the directions in the Pine Hollow Patchwork Forest Pattern.
Assembly tip: Assembling your blocks does require one Inset Seam (aka Partial Seam) process. These are not scary at all, but if you'd like an extra demo or refresher on Inset Seams, check out this post.
If you are making the original Improv Patchwork Forest, refer to those instructions for piecing whatever size quilt you are making.
I've had a lot of fun putting this low-volume red and white one version together and I'm pretty pleased about how it's turned out so far! I can't wait to get it off to the quilter!
I was thinking this would be the finished size this time, but now I'm thinking I might add a border. And then I need to pick out a back. I'm really wanting to only use something from my stash, so we'll see what I can dig out today!
I'm excited to get mine off to the quilter.

I didn't get to follow along with the QAL due to other obligations, but I have loved watching them all come together! And this low volume red is just FAB!!!! BRAVO!!! Can't wait to see it quilted 😉
